Ozone depletion is an imminent
problem that humans currently face, and if nothing is done, it will steadily become a major global issue in the future. Ozone
depletion is the gradual wearing away of the ozone layer resulting from human actions. The ozone layer is a thin layer found
in the atmosphere that protects humans from harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. This layer acts like a filter, letting some
sunlight through to the earth's surface, while trapping other damaging rays. Due to rapid industrialization growth in the
world, more factories are being put to use, and are realisng pollutants into the atmosphere. If humans continue to contaminate
the atmosphere, the world will soon face drastic changes; changes in the environment, changes in wildlife, and even changes
in the creators of wastes: humans.
Ozone depletion is
a major issue in our environment, and should be prevented. Throughout this presentation the effects of ozone depletion will
be addressed. This presentation also shows ways to prevent ozone depletion.
